I like to imagine that at some point, before the Vault, before his wife disappearing, before the mask, that Jack was actually a really affectionate, if over protective, father. I mean, that would make everything after just seem all the more horrible, wouldn’t it?

I dunno. I thought it was very interesting that at the end, when Jack gets formally introduced with the paused screen and name and all, it almost seemed quiet and subdued compared to other character intros. He just says he’ll avenge his daughter and then disappears.

I should mention that I have not heard all the Jack-centric ECHO recordings, so my information could be horribly wrong. But… it’s a nice headcanon isn’t it?

(God, I redrew Jack’s face multiple times. Next time will be better and more on model, I swear.)
